    when captain cook discovered new south wales it was very important because if he didn't discover it we wouldn't be here.

    captain cook died on exactly 22 August 1770. It was a very sad day because he was one of the best captains in the land.

    when the first fleet arrived it was because the Europeans needed more space for jails so they brought some thieves to Australia and put cells up and put the criminals in them.

    when the colonisation of NSW happened there were actually only two states but it grew as time went on. When the dat happened on 26 January 1788 it was soon called Australia day and we celebrate it on 26 January every year
