Feb 24, 1920 NSDAP was formed This party was formed and was anti-Marxist, and apposed to the Weimar Republic and the Treaty o Versailles. Jan 1, 1922 Stalin becomes the general secretary of the Communist party He is now responsible for placing others in jobs. He uses this to his advantage later as many people owe him for getting their job. Dec 3, 1923 Beer Hall Putsch Hitler attempts to overthrow the government, however, he is unsuccessful and is thrown in jail. This is where he wrote Mein Kampf. Jan 21, 1924 Lenin's Death Lenin passes away after being incapacitated by a series of strokes. Nov 26, 1924 Stalin exiles Trotsky This gives Stalin absolute control over the Soviet Union. He then proceeds to fill his government with people loyal to him.
