    Robyn Rihanna Fenty (her real name) was born on February 20, 1988. She was born in Saint Michael, Barbados. She was birthed by Monica, an accountant, and Ronald Fenty, a warehouse supervisor. Rihanna is the oldest out of all her siblings. Evenutally she got into singing when she was seven years old.

    Rihanna released her single, "Pon de Replay", on August 22, 2005. "Pon de Replay" was written and produced by Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers. Rihanna was inspired by pop and reggae music.The song was number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. It became a worldwide known song when the single was a top ten hit across fifteen countries.

In Barbados this day is called "Rihanna Day". Rihanna holds the title of Ambassador for Culture and Youth in Barbados. Recently, Rihanna was seen at the Prime Ministers funeral, weeping.
  • A Beating

    Rihanna's boyfriend, Chris Brown, was charged with assault and making criminal threats toward her. The singer was schedualed to perform at the 2009 Grammy's, but cancelled abruptly. Reports later surfaced that altercation with Brown. Photos of her bruised and beaten self leaked from the Los Angeles Police Department to the world.This revealed her very visible injuries given by Chris.

    Eminem and Rhianna performed during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards at NOKIA Theatre L.A. This was live in Los Angeles, California. Rihanna sang renditions of Loud tracks such as "What's My Name?" and "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)". She put rtropical touches like a drum circle and dancers in fringe-laden outfits. She got a standing ovation from the crowd.
