The American's beat the Guerriere. The American's called the Constitution "Old Ironsides" because the hull was so thick the cannon balls couldn't go through. -

The Star Spangled Banner was written by Francis Scott Key because the flag didn't go down in the attack. He wrote it on a envelope. In 1931 this poem became our National Anthem. -

The Hartford Convention took place because they didn't know the Treaty was being signed soon. If the Treaty was not signed the New England States could have broke away from the U.S. -

The Treaty of Ghent was what ended the war. Peace talks took place here. The treaty turned everything back to normal. -

The Battle of New Orleans took place after the treaty was signed, because it took several weeks for the news to reach America.
