Odysseus orders a large wooden horse to be made with soldiers inside. The Greeks sailed away and the horse was dragged inside. the Trojans thought this meant that they had won the battle and celebrated but in the middle of the night, the greek soldiers came out and destroyed the city.

Polyxena, daughter of Priam, was sacrificed at the tomb of Achilles. Astyanax, son of Hector, was also sacrificed. This signaled the end of the war.
