The goddess of Discord, Eris, was furious with the gods. So, she threw an apple marked "for the fairest" into the marriage of King Peleus. In the end, three goddesses claimed it; Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite. They asked Zeus to judge, but he refused. Instead, he told them to seek Paris, Prince of Troy.

Paris gives the apple to Aphrodite, who bribed him with the most beautiful woman in the world; Helen.

Helen was married to the King of Sparta, Menelaus. When Paris stole Helen, Menelaus called the army to look for her.

Odysseus and Achilles, two major generals to Greece, did not wish to participate in the war. However, Odysseus was caught faking insanity, and Achilles was found, dressed as a maid. They were forced to embark with the army.

One thousand Greek ships set sail for Troy. However, they were stopped at Aulis by Artemis, who was angry for the killing of her beloved hare. The commander in chief's (Agamemnon) daughter, Iphigenia was sacrificed. The ships continued.

Finally, the Greeks reached Troy. The first man to step down, Protesilaus, was killed by a Trojan spear, as phrophacised. He was honored because of his braveness.

For nine years, the Trojan War wavered from one side to the other, neither the Greeks nor the Trojans able to finish each other off.

Finally, after nine years, conflict in the Greek lines broke out. Agamemnon was holding Chryseis, the daughter of Apollo's priest. Achilles forced him to let her go, and Agamemnon did, but in revenge, he took Achilles's girl, Briseis. Achilles, now dishonored, refused to fight.

Zeus, despite the sidings of the other gods, stayed neutral. However, when Thetis, Achilles's mother, begged of him, Zeus took up sides with the Trojans. He sent Agamemnon a false dream to attack, for he knew that the Greeks were inferior to the Trojans without Achilles.

During the fight, both armies backed down for the standoff of Paris and Menelaus. Paris was saved by Aphrodite just when he was about to die. Right when Helen was about to be given back, Athena forced a Trojan to break the truce and fire an arrow.

Diomedes, the greatest champion second to the disgraced Achilles, raged forward during the fighting, almost killing the Trojans' second best, Prince Aeneas, and wounding his mother, Aphrodite.

Ares was fighting with the Trojans, but took a spear in the heart by Diomedes with the help of Athena and Hera.

The Trojans realized that they were about to be defeated, so the queen offered her most beautiful robe to Athena, begging for mercy. Athena refused.

Hector meets with his wife and child for the last time, and returns to battle.

Zeus, remembering Thetis, orders all the other gods to back down. He himself goes down to battle, and the tide turns to the Trojans, who almost sends the Greeks home.

Agamemnon apologizes to Achilles, and begs him to return to battle. However, Achilles has none of it.

Hera distracts Zeus by turning herself absolutely beautiful. The battle turns in favor of the Greeks.

Troy might have been done for had not Zeus awakened. He, once again, ordered the gods to back down. The Greeks were foced back towards thier ships.

Patrolus, a close friend of Achilles, uses Achilles's armor and troops to bring back the moral of the retreating Greeks. However, he was quickly killed by Hector, who takes Achilles's armor.

Achilles, enraged by the death of his close friend, returns to battle. He is armored by the god of forging himself, Hephaestus.

The Trojans were driven back into thier city by the Greeks. However, Achilles, with the help of Athena, chases Hector around Troy, killing him. Achilles then drags Hector's body on his chariot, showing off his victory. However, Hector's father begs for and recieves a proper funeral for his son.

Shortly after the death of Hector, days after, Achilles is shot in his weak point, his ancle.

Ajax and Odysseus compete for the armor of the late Achilles. Ajax, the loser, kills himself in disgrace. He is buried without honor.

The Greeks learn that Troy can only be taken by the bow of Hercules. Prince Philoctetes, the owner of the bow, is sent to battle, though he is wounded by a serpent on the way there. The first man killed by the arrows was Paris.

Desperate for an idea, Odysseus carves a huge wooden horse, able to hide several men inside. The Greeks fake retreat, and the Trojans take the horse into the city.

The Greeks are let into Troy, and a masscure arises. Troy is burned down, and most of the soldiers are killed. The Trojan War ends.
