The amazing dog, Laitka was launched by the Soviet Union. She made it to space sucessfully, but only lived a few hours before there was a heat source in the head of the rocket when it got too heated, and it killed Laitka.

On this day, it was a TRAGIC one, indeed. For the loved ones of John Fitzgerald Kennedy!!!!!!! He was assassinated at 12:30 p.m. in the Dealy Plaza in Dallas, Texas. He was fataly shot!!!! This, too, was a sad, yet emotionally upsetting day for the loved ones that President Kennedy left behind!!!!!!
