Pushed through by LBJ, due in part because of Kennedy's assassination, the Civil Rights Act never gets passed having detrimental effects on history. This Act ended segregation in public places and banned discrimination of employment on basis of race, religion, or sex. This not passing lead to huge uprisings among minority groups. -

Secretly being developed since their independence, the moon republic had installed strategically placed upgraded ionic drivers that when activated allowed complete control of the moon, this could be disastrous to coastal regions. -

Haywire Soviet satellite causes Republic of the Moons Ionic drivers to activate for 30 seconds, driving the moon 500 feet out, this creates a much higher high tide and much lower low tide, effects included the breaking off of California, flooding of New York and China, and drifting of the South Pole. -
