I would really like to be able to help students that are struggling with reading. I can recall using "hooked on phonics" when I was growing up and I wonder if some of the same strategies still apply. I hope that this course will help me be able to take what I have learned about phonemes and phonetics, and apply that to teaching students in the future. My focus is on second language learners, so I would like to additionally learn strategies for that if possible!
