    Martin Luther was the leader of the reformation in Germany, which eventually inspired the rest of Europe to revolt. Luther called out the Catholic Church for contradicting the religion and valueing worldy posessions and coorupting he gov't.

    Henry the VIII needed a male heir to inherit the throne when he died, but none of the women he married were able to produce a male child, so between 1509 and 1547, the King beheaded/divorced 6 wives, created his own Christian denomination, and angered the Catholic Church.

    King Henry needed a male heir to inherit the throne, but his wife was unable to produce a male child. Catholisism didn't allow divorces, so Henry VIII created the Church of England, changing the national religion and developing the first official denomination.

    Zwingli was one of the latest reformers. He died in 1531, before it was all over. His beliefe was that only the bible was the truth, and therefore many teachings of the Catholic clergymen where wrongful in their ways. He sparked to reformatio in Switzerland.

    John Calvin is the second most influential figure in reformation histroy behind Martin Luther. He was asked to help officialy reform many churches, and he is the father of Calvinism, or Protestant theology. He wrote books about reforming the church and reorded Christian principals.

    John Knox was crucial to the protestant reformation Scotland. He, like many other leaders of the reformation era, was schooled to be catholic, but disagreed with amny of their beliefes. He anti-catholic teachings soon gained hold, but when a knew ruler of England re-introduced Catholismism, he was forced to flee.
