The Siege Of Fort Texas
May 3-9 1846 The Mexicans tried to take Fort Texas. They started on May 3 at 5 a.m. by firing artillery from the Rio Grande. Then the Americans put their cannons in position and fired back at them. The fighting went on till night. The american overpowered them and they ran back to the Rio Grande to go back into Mexico and the American were Victorious. -

The Battle Of Tuxpan, it was on April 18 1847. It was when the Mexicans were defending another city that was crucial with supplies and thing they needed to win the war, but there forces didn't hold and they had to evacuate the city and retreat. -

February 2, 1848, this was when peace was made between the USA and Mexico where mexico had to pay $15 Million and give up a lot of land to the USA. Also, it was a sign of friendship between the two countries.
