Napoleon did keep a lot of the French reforms. Under the Civil Code all citizens were created equal before law. More people were alowed to be in courts. But Napoleon did destroy some revolutionary ideas. Napoleon shut down 60 out of Frances 73 newspaper presses. all in all I believe that Napoleon was a good emperor of France after the revolution.
