    Sand Creek Massacre
    650 men marched into the camps of Chiefs Black Kettle, White Antelope, and Left Hand. They then began to shoot at the Native Americans there. The Natives were helpless as the attack raged on. Almost everyone was killed.
  • Medicine Lodge Treaty

    Medicine Lodge Treaty
    This treaty promised to stop white man attacks and invastions. In return the Indians had to live on the reservasions. The treaty was radified by the Senate in 1868.

    2nd Treaty of Ft. Laramie
    This treaty moved soldiers out of the black hills and along the Bozeman Trail. It made the black hills a reservation for the Native Americans. The Lakota Got this peice of land.

    It was A major battle of the Red River War. The army attacked the Camps on the canyon floor. They were faces with several war parties but destroyed the camps.

    This was Custer's last stand. He lead his militry into battle aginst the Suoix indians. Custer along with all of his men were killed

    Relocation of the Nez Perce
    Congress forced the Nez Perce to move to Oragan on a small part of land. The Nez Perce trail was created when they moved from their homelands. The Nez Perce was lead by the great Cheif Joesph.

    Geronimo surrendered to the U.S army in 1886. General George Crook was the one who caputured him. This was suppose to have ended the Apache War but didn't.

    Wodziwob had a vision that this dance would remove the white man from their land and the buffalo would return. To the Americans this was a war dance and created problems. Tribes all over the plains started to do this.
  • Wounded Knee Massacre

    Wounded Knee Massacre
    U.S. soldiers entered the Pine Ridge Reservation and fired on Navtives there. 150 Native Americans Died on in the shooting. This event was just part of a huge clash.
