We had a record player and I remember listening to music but also two stories that were on record. One was Raggedy Ann and Andy and the other was Strawberry Shortcake. I can still visualize what they look like.

After getting used to my cell phone, I remember talking to my dad on a wireless phone asking for help with my car (which was making a funny noise). I got into my car and started driving. It took me a few seconds to realize that the phone wasn't working anymore.

My mother LOVED the library and instilled that in my brother and I. We would check out books on tape that we could listen to as we read the book. I remember how neat it was to have someone read me a book whenever I wanted.

I still listen to audio books on CD! I remember listening to them on long drives from Idaho to British Columbia, Canada on our way to visit my grandparents. Harry Potter and I were introduced on such a trip.

When I moved across the country for school, Skype became a tool I used often to see my family. Since then I've used Google hangout, Duo, and so many more.

I got an I-pod touch for Christmas and was ecstatic! I always had music on, and it was so fun to take my music with me.

It took me FOREVER to get a smart phone (at least in connection to other people my age). I graduated from college and even went through a year after that with my trusted slide phone before I was willing to spend the extra money. It was a good investment though.

I evolved from CD based audio books to online audio books. Librivox is a great free resource where volunteers record books that are now in the public domain.
