In the end Cortés easily conquered the Aztecs mainly because of their muskets and cannons, the help of native groups, and disease.

The Spanish took the offerings but still killed Atualpha, and captuerd the Incan capital , Cuzco, without a struggle.

This became known as the French and Indian War because the Indians fought on both sides.
