    Napoleon was born on August 15, 1769.

    The French revoltuion began with the storming of the Bastile, a military fortress in an attempt to take weapons to defend themselves for upcoming fighting.

    After the port and military bases of Tulon were surrendered to the British and Spanish, Napoleon gatthered troops and pushed them out in order to regain half of their navy and a vital naval port.

    Napoleon sailed with 40,000 men to Egypt to gain control and hopefully disrupt Britain's trade with Asia. The campaign was a faliure.

    The French army of about 600,000 men march to Moscow. All villages on the way there are burnt down so they hav eno food and supplies. By the time they reach the capital, they find that it, too is deserted so tehy turn around and go back also becaus ethey realize that they can no tsurvive th eharsh winter. When they return home, ther eare only about 20,000 men left in the army.
