The Battle of New Orleans was the last major battle of the War of 1812. They fought under the command of General Andrew Jackson. The American forces successfully repelled the invading British army. The war was fought over multiple issues, including the British impressment of American sailors, the British support of Native American raids against Americans, and trade restrictions and disputed territory. -

Andrew Jackson was inaugurated
Andrew Jackson was president between March 4, 1829 to March 4, 1837. One of his major accomplishments was successfully leading the US forces into the creek war against the native americans. Andrew Jackson’s victory at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814 ended the Creek War. -
The Black Hawk Indian War
The war was fought between the United States Army and militia units against the people who fought for Sauk Chief Black Hawk. It was fought in Illinois and Wisconsin. The war was one of the many conflicts between Native Americans and white settlers over western land. The war ended in August 1832 with a treaty that forced Native Americans to surrender all land east of the Mississippi River to the United States government. -
The Mexican American War
The Mexican American War was fought on April 25, 1846 and ended on February 12, 1848. The United States offered to buy land from Mexico extending from Texas to the Pacific Ocean, but Mexico wanted to keep that area of land. In 1846, a dispute over the border between Texas and Mexico resulted in conflict, and the Mexican American War began. The war ended with the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
