Austin Grant
Stephen F. Austin began colonization in the brazos River reigon when he recieved a grant from the Mexican goverment. -
Mexican Independence
The Constitution of 1824 failed to define the rights of the states within the republic, including Texas. The Constitution was able to give Mexico a rebublican form of goverment. -
Austin Imprisoned
Stephen F. Austin had made a new constitution and showed it to the goverment along with a list with other demands santa Anabecame suspicious of austin and threw him intio jail. -
Battle at Gonzales
The Mexican authorities sent a force of about 100 men to regian a cannon that had been given to the residents of Gonzales for defense. The Texans, under the command of John H. Moore and J.W.E. Wallace, loaded and shot the canon at the Mexicans and which started the revolution. The Mexicans retrreated with one casulity after a brief fight. The Texans held up a white flag with a picture of a black cannon on it. It is now known as the "Come and Take It" flag. -
Batttle of Alamo
After loosing san Antonio to Santa Ana Texan's to refuge in an old missonary called the Alamo. Santa Ana came in strong with extreme numbers of men compared to the texans. Unable to have backup and santa Ana having almost unlimited supply of men the Texan's lost. -
Runaway Scrape begins
When siege between Santa Ana and Texas begain people would gather few possesions and headed eastward in the toughest conditions. When news got out that Texas had won at the battle of San Jacinto people startedn to return home. -

Under theorder of Santa Ana about 400 Texans and James Fannin were executed by the Mexicans at the Goliad Massacre. -
Battle of San Jacinto
Santa Ana had more men than Sam Houston, but the Texans had more determination tan Santa Ana. After fighting at the San jacinto ruiver for a While Santa Ana thought he had won, but the texans had a plan. Santa Ana and his men were taking a nap after partyingSam Hoyuston and his men Surprised Him and captured Santa Ana. The texans had won. -
