    Countries have struggled for land since the human species became civilized. The US is famous for its many strategic and timely land grabs which many believe they had no right to aquire. However the ecomomic and civilized growth of everyone of thes lands points the opposite direction. Along with this is the Compliance of the other parties to sighn treaties and the gains each other contries made because they sighned them. The US territorial aquasitions where justified and benifitiial to every all.

    This was the origional Land acquisition to the US. This treaty was signed by the british that established American control over the land that was the original border to the United States.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    A land aquisition from the French consisting of 828,000 square miles. Farthest east was theold US border and stretched as far west as the Front range in Montanna.

    British seeded this land to us because of the boarder disputes of the time also alowed for jointcontrole over oregon.

    Texas was annexed to the US from Mexico because of the many Americans that moved into Texas territory wanted to call Texas their own Country, started a war which the US finished by kickinng the Mexicans tails and "asking" for the land that included Texas, New Mexico, Oklaoma and Colorado. The land was then Annexed from Mexico to the US.

    Hawaii was a strong tade parnter with the US trading suger, but when the US fell in the depression they felt it to. The Queen of Hawaii blamed the US and tried to stay away from them forever. American Mari es stormed the island and overthrew the Queen. CLevland however put her back into power and the whole thing atarted over again with the next president untill the islands were annexed similarly to Texas.

    Therefore the land aquisitions where justified and bennifitial to the entire world economically. The economic power house the US became is comparable to the that of the Byzintine empire of Europe. They compare in that both are safe full of trade and work while still being very self sefitent and internaly nationalised as one nation of many peoples.
