    As jamestown history continues Pocahontas marries John rolfe. Who brought tobacco seeds from europe. The marraige resulted in eight years of peach bewttwn the native indiosn and englishmen.
  • Smallpox Epidemic

    90% of the Native Americans descessed due to the smallpox epidemic in the massachuetts area.

    During the summer of 1619. The first Slaves were brought into Jamestown.

    The first repersentative assembly (House of Burgesses meet for the first time in Virginia.

    The war arose between the Native Indians and British, French settlers in the Ohio River valley due to its economic potiencial.

    The proclamtion was mainly intended to conciliate the indians by checking encrochments of the sttlers lands.

    Due to the expensive French & Indian War British parliament decided to imposed a tax on any goods such as molasses, coffee. To help offset the cost of the war.

    On top of the Sugar Act the parliment decided to require a stamp on any printed documents,newspaper ect.
