The Ipad was the newest invention by apple introduced in early April. This device was introduced as a way to replace a laptop with an iPad that was lighter, more powerful, smarter, and simpler. It might have been a little slow in past but in the present day, I see lots of people with an iPad that completely replaces a laptop. -
The Chromebook is a laptop that aimed to be a direct competitor with the bigger brands with a lower price and with respectable computing power. This is not the most sought-after computer nowadays however I included it in this timeline because I know how useful they are for schools. If it were not for the Chromebook many students would have not been able to learn while virtual learning was the only option and it's why it earned its way on the timeline. -
The Xbox one is a video game console to compete with the PS4 that released before it. This console was the older brother to the 360 and included all new technology that gave movie-like quality to video games. Even today the newest console the Xbox one X derives a lot of its technology from the Xbox one showing how powerful and ahead of its time it was. -
This hard drive is what upped the standards of other companies by putting 8000 gigabytes in a small box. This hard drive shows how far technology has gotten as only 30 years ago one gigabyte was as big as a PC. Currently today there is way more storage to be found on smaller devices however I believe the 8 TB hard drive by Seagate is what pressured these companies to do better. -
Quantum computers are known to be smarter, faster, and more powerful than traditional computers. The reason this was so important was that it was developed to crack the security of traditional encryption schemes to enhance the security and protection or the computers we use today.
