The fall of the Berlin Wall
The Berlin Wall separated Berlin and was known as the wall of shame. Was built so that the people of east Germany will not emigrate to west Germany because of its battered economy. More or less 100 people died trying o cross the wall. When Hungary opered its borders many germans traveled to asylum, this caused many demonstrations and finally on 9 November 1989 allowed tha passage and subsequent fall.
