IBM Introduces a PC with Standard Hard Drive
This was a year before I graduated high school. However, I don't remember anyone owning a PC until I was in college and a student going to graduate school had one. -
Personal Camcorders
Yeah! Finally we could record our lives without having a huge camera that had to be held on our shoulders. -
DVDs invented
And now we had to buy yet another machine to play movies! -
Facebook
I didn't get Facebook until my kids did. Some of them wouldn't friend me at first. They thought they could hide online. Ha, ha! -
My first mobile phone
I was 40 when I got my first mobile phone; it was life changing. Now I couldn't live without one. -
Mac!
I love my Mac. I first learned to love Apple and Macs when I became the computer lab aide at Willow Springs, before I came back to teaching. It helped update my computer skills. -
iPad
I used my iPad extensively when I taught math. I especially loved the app "Explain Everything." -
Google Tools
And now I'm considering getting an Ed. Tech degree. How far I've come!
