    Florence, Italy is the city that I studied in for 4 months. There was a building that housed Kent State students and taught us our classes. Florence is the home of the statue of David, the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, and much more.
  • Munich, Germany

    Munich, Germany
    While studying abroad, I decided to take a weekend trip to Munich, Germany. Munich was hosting their annual Oktoberfest for the weekend. I went with a few friends. Oktoberfest tradition started in 1810 to celebrate the October 12th marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig. Oktoberfest has many "tents" throughout the festival. It is traditional to sell cookies and pretzels at the festival.

    Dachau, Germany
    While in Germany, I decided to take a day trip to Dachau, Germany were the concentration camp "Dachau" is housed. A concentration camp was in use during the Holocaust. Concentration camps confined Jewish people and forced them to work to their death. Concentration camps offered terrible living conditions for the Jewish and they were run by the Nazis. I've attached some pictures of the crematorium, restrooms, and sleeping barracks.

    Rome, Italy is the home of the colosseum, the Pantheon, The Vatican, the Trevi fountain, and much more. The colosseum was used to house many spectators to watch bloody fights against wild beasts. The Vatican is the head quarters of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Coreno Ausonio, Italy

    Coreno Ausonio, Italy
    Coreno Ausonio, Italy is where my dad and his family were born and raised. While abroad, I went to visit family. My dad's cousins still live in Coreno Ausonio. I was able to spend my birthday weekend with them. Coreno is a very small town and my dad and his family owned a farm and did not have the best living conditions while there.

    While abroad, I spent a weekend in London, England. I was able to visit Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye, and many other sites. I spent most of my time in London visiting the studio that housed the movie series "Harry Potter".
  • Dublin, Ireland

    Dublin, Ireland
    Dublin, Ireland was one of my favorite cities that I visited while studying abroad. I met some very nice people while there. The city was a smaller city, but was also very lively.
