  • Got my first car!

    Got my first car!
My first car was a 1995 Camaro. I got it for Christmas when I was 15 years old, so I couldn't even drive it by myself yet! The car had a weird paint that looked purple from one angle, but teal from another.

Graduated from Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, NC.
I graduated iwith honors in the top 10% of my class. We had a graduation party right after the ceremony. My parents had bought a ton of food and even hired a DJ.
  • Got married

    Got married
On August 1, 1998, I got married to Ric Brooks. We had been dating for two years. My wedding dress was long sleeved and it was very hot outside and in the church. I was so hot that I almost passed out during the time of prayer. We went to Disney World on our honeymoon.
  • Savannah Paige Brooks was born

    Savannah Paige Brooks was born
Savannah was born just three days before her due date. She weighed exactly the same amount as me when I was born. My favorite memory of her as a small child was when she put her kitten in the dryer. Thank goodness she couldn't reach the button to turn the dryer on!
  • Mason Tyler Brooks was born

    Mason Tyler Brooks was born
Mason was born about three weeks before his due date, on the day before Halloween. He wasn't breathing too well, so he had to stay in the neonatal nursery for three days. One of my favorite memories of him as a baby was when he would put his pacifer in his mouth upside down and then flip it rightside up without using his hands.
  • Aidan Joshua Brooks was born

    Aidan Joshua Brooks was born
Like Mason, Aidan was born three weeks before his due date. He was born just two days after Mother's Day and five days before my birthday. One of my favorite memories of him was how he would always sleep on his hands and knees with his rear end sticking up in the air.
  • Graduated from ECU

    Graduated from ECU
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Going back to college after having kids was the hardest thing I've ever done. I get picked on a lot about my choice of colleges since I graduated from ECU but I'm a huge UNC fan.
  • Started working at Frink

    Started working at Frink
During my first year at Frink, I taught Language Arts. I taught that because it was always my best subject. When Ms. Letchworth asked me to teach Social Studies this year, I almost cried because all my life I have always hated history. Now that I teach it, I would rather do this than any other subject!
