In 406 BC, Socrates served as a member of the Boule, which was the council of citizens that ran the city.

XENOPHON AND SOCRATES MEET

In 403 BC, Xenophon, one of the few authors who provide information about Socrates, met Socrates and entered the circle of learning around the philosopher.

SOCRATES DIE

After the trial, Socrates was condemned to die by poison. He took the poison and died in 399 BC.
