    The Bill of Rights is the first 10 out of 27 rights in the Constitution. These rights were written after the Declaration of Independance. The Bill of Rights shows a symbol in America as free and culture. James Madison didn't want to write the Bill of RIghts. There was originally 12 rights but only 10 became the law.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    America bought Lousisana from the French. America gave France $15 million for the land. With that money they bought 828,000 square miles.
  • Lewis and Clark Expedetition

    Lewis and Clark Expedetition
    There expedition took 863 days. They traveled 7,689 miles during the whole journey. Lewis and Clark discovered 122 new animals and 178 new plants.
  • Florida becomes a U.S. state

    At first the Spanish had claimed Florida it's territory. At 4 a.m. Florida was America's territory. 7 days after America bought Florida the flag went up.

    White settlers pushed more west and south to grow their governement and population but there was a problem. Some Indian tribes were in the way though. So they told the Indians to either move and we won't be cruel if they did move. If the Indians didn't agree they had to be forced to become an American citizen in their state.

    The Indians have left and are walking to their new land. The Indians are going to Oklahoma where other Indian tribes are.15,00 Indians marched to Oklahoma and 1/4 of them died in the end.

    The Mexican American war was about the state of Texas. America wanted Texas as a new slave state. America ended up winninng the war and took at least half of Mexico's land.

    The railroad went from the weat coast to east coast in America. THe railroad was 1,776 miles long. The rrailroad connected the Pacific Union and the Central Union.
