  • First fleet arrived

    Captain Auther Phillip was the captain of the First Fleet. He came to Australia bring with him many un-native plants and animals with him.

  • First Free Settlers Arrived

    Once the starvation through British colonies had been averted many free settlers started coming to Australia. By then lots of the setters were moving inland to find better land.

  • Gold Is Discovered

    In 1851 gold was discovered. This changed Australia’s economy forever. Many people arrived from other colonies and country’s to dig for gold. This made the population EXPLODE!!!

  • First Railway

    The first railway in Australia was a huge success. It was made to transport goods between Port Melbourne and Melbourne. This improved the import and export of goods.
