  • Little brother's birthday

    My little brother, Ryan, is very important to me. I love being a big sister. Although my brother is sixteen now and a lot bigger than me, i still get very protective over him when he can obviously handle himself. I love going to his football and basketball games to cheer him on. I'm that sister with his last name and number on the back of my t-shirt. Growing up with him has been so much fun.

  • First day of high school

    My first day of high school was so much fun. I remembered being nervous at first, but my whole school was like a little family so it wasn't too bad. My class had a total of 25 kids. To this day, we remain close. Some of the best friendships i have ever made was in that little school.

  • Marriage of my mom and step dad

    This day was very important to me. Before my step dad, my mom struggled raising my brother and I alone. I could tell that she wasn't happy. That all changed when she met my step dad. I'm very lucky and thankful for my step dad. It now feels like our little family is complete again.

  • First day of college at Morehead

    My first day of college at Morehead was another chapter in my life that was very important. Being away from home for the first time made me more independent. I feel like going away was good for me, for awhile. While I was at Morehead, I made some the best friends and walked on to the soccer team. This was very exciting for me.

    First day of college at Shawne

    When I transferred to Shawnee last semester, I immediately knew that this was the right decision for me. I am now playing soccer here, taking classes I enjoy, and i am a lot closer to my family and friends. It all seemed to click for me when I transferred here. I'm very lucky for all of the opportunities Shawnee has offered me.

    What I would like to learn from this class

    I feel that this class will be very beneficial for me as a future teacher. Teaching a child to read write or spell is a skill they will have forever. I would like to help be an influence for this.
