Week 1
This week we will be introducing the math and science center. You will learn how to use the center, create log entries and study for your test. I will use this timeline as an example of using the center and tracking the progress of the propagation and growth of the Pothos Ivy. -
Week 2
This week you will cut a sample from the mother plant and begin your first entry. Examine it and measure it. Complete the log entry as directed. -
Week 3
Check your cutting and see if there is any growth the the vine part of the plant. Is there any new growth? Maybe roots? Complete your log entry as directed. -
Week 4
This week you will check your cutting and see if there are any new changes. You will also compare measurements of the ivy itself and the measuremnts of the new roots. Complete your log entry as directed. -
Week 5
This week you will check the changes in the measurements, but I also want you to log specific details about the color of the cutting, roots and overall appearance of the plant. This is also the point where you will leave one cutting in the water and one cutting will be placed in dirt. -
Week 6
This week you will catch up and review with your partner all of your findings. Make sure you go over all of your entries and see that they are complete. -
Week 7
Compare the changes and the time that has past. What has changed? How much time has past? Are there any special events or issues that may have come up that could have affected your expirement? Complete your log entry as directed.
