  • There is a hair in my dirt

Today I learned that worms are decomposers and that you shouldn't mess with nature. You shouldn't mess with nature because then you effect the entire food web.Because if you wipe out a species then other species won't have food and soon they will die out.
  • Abiotic and Biotic

We learned about abiotic and biotic things. Biotic it when it is living and abiotic is non-living things. Some examples of biotic are: hair, fingernails, animals, etc. Examples of abiotic are: wind, ice, temperature, elevation, ect.
  • Venn Diagram 2

Today I made another timeline and I compared 3 things to each other. I compared salad, porkchops, and steak. They are all edible and they are all food.
  • Trophic levels (energy)

Today we learned about trophic levels. On the very botom of the pyramid the more energy you get. The higher you go up the less energy there is. You lose 90 percent to heat.
  • Animal Planet

Today we learned about different eco-systems. We learned that animals liver different depending on where they live.
  • Wednessday 9th

Today we had to make a google doc and show all of limiting factors in the classroom. There were a lot of limiting factors in the world and in the classroom.
  • Thurday 10th

Today we had to list all of our recourses and how much we use. It make you relize how many recourses you use in a day. There are a lot of different recources and you use a lot of them.
  • Physical Properties 1

Today we learned about classification. We classified a bunch of random items and classified them into different groups. Some of the things that we classified them into were symetrical or asymetrical, toys or tools, bends or doesn't bend.
  • Physical/Chemical properties

What are some hcemical properties of you object? Mine has soluabilty because it will sink in water.
  • Physical/Chemical propterties 2

Is windiness a physical or chemical property of air? Windiness is a chemical property of air because it is the change of the temperature.
  • Physical/Chemical properties

How can you tell what chemical properties a sustance has? The way it reacts and what color it is.
  • Physical Changes

1: It does not form a new substance.
2: It always stays the same substance.
3; Ice cream will melt in the sun. That is a physical change because it stays the same substance.
  • Physical/Chemical change

How do you tell the difference between a gaseous physical and chemical change? If it is a change in color than it is a chemical change. For physical it just starts bubling but it stays the same color or substance.
  • Physical/Chemical change

Today I learned that corn starch catches on fire. And that Corn starch and iodine turn black.
  • Atoms

Today I learned that if you go out into space at the speed of light for one month if you came back it would be 20 years later.
  • Atomic Structure

What is the rule for making a posotive ion? You have to have more protons than electrons for it to be posotive.
  • Isotope/Ion

What particle determines an ION? Isotope? The particle that determines an ion is the proton and the electrons. The particle that determines and isotope are the neutrons.
  • Periodic Table

What do the columns on the periodic table represent? They show how many shells are around it with the top having one and the second having 2 and so on.
