700 BC. They were occupying what is now Syria, Iraq, and Turkey. They took ten tribes when the conquered Israel. They had a really good army. The leaders of Assyrian thought was a science.

509 BC. Before the Republic was developed the Romans revolted and threw out there last king. They then made a new type of government. They called it a Republic. They then had officals that would run the state for this government. The patricians were the higher people in Rome at this time. The plebeians were the lower people. The plebeians wanted some control.

247-183 BC.The learder during the second Punic war was Hannibal. He was able to keep on defeating the Roman army, by his strategy. Romans have repected him, they have even adopted some of the things he has done.

236-183 BC. When people were thinking about surrendering he got enraged. He then held everyone at sword point and made them keep the war going. He fought Hanniblas bother. Hes army deafeated Hannibals army.

43 BC. Caesar was murdered at this time. His adopted son took over power after that. Octavian and Antony had agreed to govern two different parts of empire. Civil War ended up breaking out between the two.

27 BC- AD 180. We call it this because it was the beginning of
Augustus's reign. During this time there was rarely any war or invasions. They had several essential traits like; good government, strong legal system, spread of trade, and peace in the city. They had a good smooth working government. -
63 BC. After many months of fighting Pompey conquered Judea. The Romans ended of choosing a new king to rule this area. The Jews had to end up paying a trinute to te Romans. The Jews were not willing to firget abiut their religion. They ended up allowing them to keep practicing there religion if they paid their tribute.

Jesus came and taught people the teachings of God. He would do miracles and change things. Jesus had 12 disciples. When he passed his disciples carried on his teachings and started the spread of Christianity.

AD 476. The western empire ended in shambles. Odoacer overthew the empire. The easter empire did not get over thrown. The eastern empire thought of them selfs as Romans, but other culturals got into there culture.
