  • The date of my chronological age

  • 7.3: Major Life Event

This date is when I lost a close family member to a heart attack, and it happened at the airport when he came back home from his work trip. My coping skill with the situation were social coping with the help of my family. We all supported each other by talking about it, and accepting the situation that we were in. It was effective because it helps each other to be out of denial, and to accept the situation as what it is by knowing that we are not alone in the situation.
  • 4.1- Young Adult Role Transition

I honestly do feel like I already have transitioned into young adult role, which is on this date, which where I've moved out of my parents' roof and start my first day of college. This applied to the section of "Leaving (and returning) Home". Accordingly to the textbook, the average age of young people leave their family home is currently around 20. There's a high chance for me to return home, just like those "boomerang kids" because I want to be at where my family is at.
  • Primary Aging

This does not have any specific date or time because it is a gradual process that will happen to all of us throughout our adulthood to older adulthood periods.
  • 2.1 Oxidative Damage

According to oxidative damage, it can be affected by the response to light, sunlight, x-rays, and air pollution. What if we live underneath away from the light, and sunlight, having a system with solar powered for our foods and other things that needed to be run by electrics. Also, we can create a particular filter that opts out the air pollution. Everything will be natural, yet it would be benefitting for all of us.
  • 2.2 Genetic Limits

According to the genetic theory, primary aging occurs when we face the Hayflick limit, which exhausting our cells' ability to replicate themselves. What if we could invent with some sorts of technology that impacts telomeres, and replicative senescence. Maybe it could be some sorts of creme product that we can put on our skin to help our cells to continue dividing so we can live longer.
  • 2.3- My Current Healthy Lifestyle

Before I take the quiz, I already told myself that I need to eat more servings of vegetables, and refrain from junk food although I don't eat them every day, just every other day. I wanted to cut them down to the weekends only and start to work out more than 3 times a week as I do work out every other day. The quiz helped me to be more motivated to change my habits. In overall, I would say that my healthy lifestyle is a very bit below average, and that will change soon.
  • 4.3: Adult Attachment Style

The quiz's result were fallen into secure region of the space. For what is worth, I am in a relationship with my partner whom I feel that I can trust fully. We share the same values, and we don't share our personal things to others without asking each other's permission first. That can be a great example of secure attachment style. For this style of attachment, we feel that it is comfortable to depend on others and have them to depend on me as well. I don't worry about being alone.
  • 4.4: Childhood Attachment Experiences

I thought it was very interesting how I've fallen into the category of secure attachment style when asked about my childhood attachment experiences. My childhood experiences were in between of preoccuiped and secure styles because of how my mother wasn't always there for me due to work, and schooling. I had a hard time to trust or depend on her until very much later on. I would assume that having a supportive grandparents is the reason behind my secure attachment style.
  • 6.3: Intimacy verus Isolation

I saw this great example in one of classmate's vidoes explaining how the grandparents met, and in their early dating years, the grandfather was a U.S. navy back in time, and got relocated to France. The decision has to be made with both of parties that they are willing to move to France together. The decision together reflects "WE" and they risked the immerison of self in a sense of "WE" by moving away from the families to France from U.S.
  • 6.4: Conformist Stage

One of classmates' interview video mentioned about her grandmother not working back in time although she've always desired to become a nurse. She claimed that back in time with how women are not encouraged to have a career interest. That is an example of conformity whereas the women identified themselves with the society's expectations of women not working and taking care of their families. That also can apply to the confirmity to their work or peer group.
  • 7.2: Transitions

From conformist to individualistic, I still share a lot of values I had when I was living with my family before I attended to college, but I've developed a deeper sense of individuality with my experiences. My experiences may be relatable to others but it is still my experience that I've experienced, in that I developed my sense of individuality.
  • 7.1: Fowler

Individuative-reflective faith somewhat aligned with my perception of life. I believe that we should choose our groups, the relationships based on our self-chosen beliefs or values because it helps us to peserve us as what we are, and who we are. Who we are brings the value to this world, just like everyone else with their beliefs, and/or values.
  • 1.1 The Beginning

The date is my college graduation. The date is when I will become an adult because I would have to pay the rent for my apartment, and take care of the bills since I live in the dorm for the last five years, and my parents covered my bills. I also will start to cook more for myself, and work for a full time after I graduate. That is one of the normative age-graded influences that I will experience, which is a social clock.
  • 6.1: My RIASEC type

In the year of 2019, I will become 25 years old, and I believe that is when I will begin my professional career. I scored first in Social, then second in Investigative, and third in Artisitic. Those characteristics involved a lot with analytical, expressive, intutitive, understanding, helpful, and ethical. I do feel that those are strongly corresponded with my personality traits. Those are also what matches my career choice I am making now which is counseling.
  • 6.2: Super’s Stages

I will become 25 years old during this year's date, and I will be in the stage of establishment. I believe that this is when I would start to stabilize in a job of counseling after the years of tailoring the internship/career experiences to become the type of counselor I want. My knowledge and skills would be in advanced due to the experience being in the field of career for a long time, and from the stabilization of job.
  • 4.2: Older Adult Role Transition

I will be 26 years old during this year, and I would imagine that it is when I would become a spouse or partner. Accordingly to the textbook, the most recent figures from the U.S. Census Bureau, the age at which most women marry is 26, and for men at 28 years old. The challenge I can imagine going through marriage is to share the financial and household esponsibilities. Also, to compromise over different life contexts such as child-rearing styles, trading traditions, and career decisions.
  • 3.2- Attention

Simple attention still would be perserved however when divided attention occurs such as trying to pay attention to the reading and simultaneously talk on the telephone would be difficult. ( That would be applied to almost all of IADL since they require the divided attentions) To compensate for age-related changes, we need to reduce the level of stress, to maintain active strategies, to keep mentally stimulated, and to have a good dietary including physical activities regularly.
  • 3.1- Working Memory

This is the date that I will become 40 years old. The working memory and primary memory starts to decline. From 40-64 years, my episodic memory begins gradual decline around 60. IADL: I suppose that at this age since working and primary memory starts to decline, it would become hard to handle with the finances due to those memories using a lot of learning, reasoning, and comphrension. To compensate, we need to reduce the stress level, and keep our minds active/stimulated in different ways.
  • 2.4 Potential Consquences of my lifestyle

That is the date when I will be 50 years old. The potential consequences of my current healthy lifestyle would be the risk factors for cancer and diabetes since I don't eat enough of vegetables, and often eat junk food which may lead to high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I also may be qualified for the risk factors of Alzheimer's disease due to my current dietary. However, I do often exercise which can lead to a healthy result later on if I accompany it with a better nutritional.
