Slavs were invaded by their Central Asia enemys, the Mongols. The Mongols ended up conquering them and the Slavs are under their rule. This made a new czarch take charge.

The Slavs go to war with their new ruler Ivan the great. Ivan is a czark (emperor) and wants to end Mongol rule. The Mongols and Slavs go through a very brutal war.

During a giant war with the Mongols, Europe brings a deadly disease known as the Black Death. The Slavs lead by Ivan end up winning because of the disease because it kills the Mongols and the rest flee. The Slavs are independent for now.

After the Mongol war is over and Ivan the great is dead a new ruler comes. This new ruler is named Ivan the terrible. He makes many wars and makes Russia lose wealth.

Ivan is gone and Russia needs rebuilding. A czar named Peter the great comes in and rebuilds Russia's agriculture and gets their wealth back. Peter also brings back the country together.

The U.S. invests in Alaska and buys it from the czark, at this time Alexendar the 2nd. The Russians find no interest in the place and sell it for a very high price. The U.S. is benefitting because of all the oilthey are getting.

After the czars die Russia is leaning to something horrible. That thing is communism. A force that will change the world forever is born.

In 550 B.C. the Scythians had hard times when they settled. The Scythians were invaded by the Ostrogoth, the Avars, and the Mongols. The Mongols later became more agressive and tried to conquer them.

Russia became more friendly with trade and started to trade with the Byzantine Empire. The Byzantinine Empire went to change their beliefs and made churches. Their are now alot of churches in Russia and the people became Christians.

The Slavs met the vikings and they united Rusia into a kingdom with its capital being Novgoroa. The land covered in the Ukraine and in Western Russia. That is how the Russian land started in the west.
