I chose this photo as it demonstrates that the manifesto did occur but at the cost of a revolution and individuals life. It also demonstrates that the manifesto failed to cause real change, shown through the bloody hand.

I chose this picture as it demonstrates the state of Europe before WWI. The picture shows that if one country did anything against the other it would cause a domino effect with every other country joining. The political cartoon does a good job showing that it started with Serbia with a response by Germany and Russia

I chose this photo as it shows the Tsar has everyone kneeling for him. It shows that the did have control over the military as the soldiers were listening to his orders or at least responded to him- which can be seen through the kneeling.

I chose this picture to demonstrate the divide and the lack of support within the Russian society for the Provisional government. It shows that the provisional government could bring liberty but it was doomed to fail from the start due to the political opposition.

An already weak Russia is seen stuck in a hole as Germany is available to help. This represents the power dynamic between the two countries and gives incite to why Russia accepted this treaty.
