  • 1825 Decembrist Revolt

    Nicolast the First wanted troops to take an oath and some refused to take it. The revolt wasa poorly organized and was easily defeated.

  • 1861 The Emancipation of Russian Serfs

    Alexander proposed a manifesto that later became into a law. It stated that all privately owned serfs were given the right to become free citizens, free to marry and be able to won their own buisness.

  • 1903 The Social Democratic Party Splits

    The Mensheviks and Bolsheviks were disagreeing and the party split and a very bloody battle broke out.

  • 1904 Russian War with Japan

    Pointless war, Russia loses, Japan Wins, 400,000 casualties.

  • 1905 Bloody Sunday

    Russia was corrupt and problepms started to erupt inside the goverement. A grop of soliders killed demonstrators, around 100 are dead.

  • Revolution of 1905

    Troops fired on defencesless crowd of workers. It gave citizens more rights, not many poeple were satisfied.

  • Czar Nicholas ll Abicates the throne

    In 1914 Nicholas led them into a costly war, he got hate and he advocated the throne. Later he and his family were killed.

  • 1917 Bolshevik revolution

    A revolution swept through Russia ending centuries of imperial rule. Lenin made supreme leader.

  • 1918 Treaty of Brest-Litovsk

    Treaty that ended its participation in WW1.

  • 1918-1921

    The Whites and the Reds army didagreed on how russia was operation. The Whites failed to win support from the Russia people. Russia forms the USSR.
