  • Russia loses 2 million men in war. Calling for a new government towards the Duma instead of the tsar. Tsar Nicholas ends the Duma and heads out to the front leaving Rasputin and Alexandra leading a strong influence on the government.

  • Bread riots in St. Petersburg.

  • The Duma began to declare a the provisional government.

  • Tsar Nicholas ronounces his throne without any type of protest.

  • Lenin returns from his exile and denounces (stating in wrong) of the newly appointed provisional government.

  • The provisional governemtn is reorganized, the war continues. The St. Petersburg Soviet declares the Army Order No. 1 (grants voting throughout the military power)

  • Agricultural riots, peasants begin to seize land. Peasant soldier leave the army to participate in the riot upheavals.

  • The Bolsheviks gain the majority vote in the St. Petersburg Soviet. ( Council)

  • The Bolsheviks gain power again and Lenin heads the new "provionsal workers" and "peasants governments".

  • Lenin accepts the peasant seizures of land and the worker's control of the factories; all Russian armies are now nationalized

  • Lenin goes on the permanently disband the Constituent Assembly.

  • Treay of Brest-Litovsk (cauing Russia to lose 1/3 of the population. Trotsky begins to rebuild the Russian army into a stronger stand. Government moves the from St. Petersburg onto Moscow.
