Construct Implementation Council
Gather stakeholders (admin, teachers, students, parents, district support) to meet quarterly to advise on the implementation and rollout for all parties. -
One-to-One Model
Over the next 5 years, we will transition so that all students are provided their own device as a learning tool. -
Planning Year
Research cost, choose device, build tech support structure at school site, provide professional development for teacher leads and all 9th grade teachers, plan parent trainings, communicate with community of implementation, -
Year 1 - 9th Grade Rollout
Give every 9th grade student a device with registration when checking out textbook. -
Train 10th Grade Teachers
Plan for next year of implementation by training next grade level of teachers. This training is to include operational training so all teachers can use the devices and pedological trainings so teacher can expand their instructional strategies to incorporate chromebooks. -
Implementation Council Meets Quarterly
Reviews first year rollout and plans for adjustments for year 2 with 10th grade students. Plan purchase of new devices for incoming students and PD for following year. -
Year 2 - 9th Grade Cohort 2
2021 9th Graders keep their chromebooks and the new incoming 9th grade students are assigned a chromebook. -
Train 11th Grade Teachers
Train teachers that teach 11th grade students that have not already been trained. -
Implementation Council Meets Quarterly
This year the implementation team review data from students, teachers and parents survey and plan for sustainability with replacement and aging devices. Plan purchase of new devices for incoming students and PD for following year. -
Year 3 - 9th Grade Cohort 3
Incoming 9th graders provided a device where current 10th and 11th grade student maintain their assigned devices. -
Implementation Council Meets Quarterly
This review test scores and find areas of growth with implementation. Plan purchase of new devices for incoming students and PD for following year. -
Train teachers
Train any teachers that have not been trained including new teachers to district. -
Year 4 - 9th Grade Cohort 4
Incoming 9th grade students are provided a new device. All grades have a device and all teachers are training on teaching in a 1-1 environment.
