    A scottish scientist by the name of William Cullen invented the first form of an artificial refrigerator. He showed that rapidly heating of a liquid to a gas can cause cooling. It is a process in all refrigerators today. Cullen never turned his theory into a practice but many were inspired by this.

    An american inventor named Jacob Perkins that was living in landon. He built the world's first water vapor compression refrigeration system that using an closed cycle. The system worked but it didn't succeed commercially.
