    Not sure if he really was the first person that sent a radio signal/ invented the radio. But he was the first to claim that he did.

    Audion tube invented by Lee D Forest, the tube amplified signals.
  • Radio on the Titanic

    Radio was used to call for help on the Titanic.Because of the radio there were survivors.
  • First Radio Station

    First radio station 8XK, now called KDKA aired and is still playing in Pittsburg. It was invented by Frank Conrad

    WEAF sold 10 minute commercial to an apartment complex for $50.00. They aired the first commercial

    FRC started radio frequencies and call letters. The name was later changed to FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

    Some famous shows on the radio were: Amos and /andy. The Shadow; Our Miss Brooks; Superman; Dick Tracey, etc.. When TV came out teh show transferred to TV. Bart simpson voice was a woman on the radio.

    Edwin Armstrong invented the FM transmitter. Some people had the rabbit aears and antennas, so you had to buy new radio sets to increase the digital quality.
