  • Uncle Charlie

    People were building their own radio stations. That created a major problem. Soon there were too many radio stations for the frequency of the radio signal available for radio stations.
  • Marconi

    Guglielmo Marconi Formed the wireless telegraph and signal company, he made the first wireless telegraph in 1901. He gave the demonstration to the Italian government. Where then signals were sent in a 12-mile radius distance.
  • Am Waves

    Am was the earliest modulation method used to transmit voice by radio. it was developed during the first two decades of the 20th century.
  • FM waves

    With FM, the frequency (the number of times each second that the current changes direction) of the carrier signal is varied. This can be used with analog or digital data.
  • Audion Tube

    lee de forest was an inventor who invented a vacuum tube which ended up becoming the main bases of all electronic devices. He eventually called it the audion. He held permission on the technology of radio, television, and film.
  • Radio Station

    8XK, later renamed. It is commonly known to KDKA in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, which in october 1920 received it's license and went on the air as the first U.S licensed commercial broadcasting station on november
  • Golden Era

    During this period radio was the only broadcast, and people regularly tuned into their favorite radio programs, and families got together to listen to the radio in the evening.
