  • First Radio Signal

    The first radio signal was likely made by Guglielmo Marconi some time in 1895. He likely just sent a morse code. It is not certain whether or not he truly was the first one to accomplish this however he patened it.
  • Audion Tube

    In 1906, Lee De Forest invented the audion tube.This tube amplifies signals distance, radio or otherwise.
    Reginald Fessenden supposedly came up with the idea for the audion, but he was never properly recognized.
  • The Coming of Radio Stations

    The first commercial radio station, 8XK, came about in 1920. Its name would be later changed to, as it is known today KDKA.
