    1910s- Call letters came into play. This was a way we could identify radio stations. W would anywhere east of the Mississippi River and K would be anywhere west of the Mississippi River.

Pandora, Spotify, Beats Music lowered the percentage of people that listed to the radio. With these apps, you can skip through the advertising and go straight into the music which slowly replaced the radio
