  • The Main for Entertainment

    Years after the Radio was out to the public, it was the go to for Shows, sometimes music and news.
  • The Dawn of Advertising

    The radio wouldn't be what it is today without Advertising. Advertisments are what "feed" the radio, and is the source of money.
  • The Great Depression

    1930's to 1940's the Great Depression had a huge effect on the whole United States. Almost everyone had lost their jobs, money, and their homes.
  • Golden Era

    During the 30s and 40s, the radio was a must buy, and a go to for entertainment.
  • Famous shows on the Radio

    A lot of shows were on radio, including: Superman, Gunsmoke, and Dick Tracey.
  • TVs Taking Over

    During this time, Televisions were already invented, and started to gain traction. All the shows transferred to the Television, which everyone preferred.
  • Radios Coming Back Into the Picture

    After Televisions took over, the radios found their new thing. They started broadcasting music. Like the Television, it also gained attention.
  • WW2

    During World War 2, radios became a huge impact. Not the ones in your car, but the ones you use for a walkie talkie. Used to contact each other during, after, or before combat.
