This was an highly significant day in my life, little did I realise at the time that dance would become a main event and activities throughout the next 15 years

The first of many family holidays to QLD on the Gold Coast. We always stayed in a big apparentment owned by my uncle called Focus. It had a big pool, tennis court and BBQ area!

Dance concerts were a yearly occurance in the first week of Decemeber. Much to my fathers dismay he was asked to sit through a few hours of childrens dance in the styles of ballet, contempary, jazz, hip hop and tap ... and of course, I was in almost every performance.

I remember wanting to wear white frilly socks with my uniform, Mum wasn't too keen, but I prevailed and ended up wearing white frilly socks to school right up until Grade 3!

I started playing netball in this year and loved it. The team environment provided great energy and the game was great social interactiion, I haven't stopped playing since.

A special award evening, I received the school honours award, this resulted in big smiles, proud parents and a great feeling of success during my primary years

As dance had been since a signifcant part in my life it felt a natural progression that I started assisting other young dancers with their techniques. This was every Saturday morning for 2 years.

In year ten I gained a stop on a school exchange program to Germnay. It was an eye opening experience that allowed me to practice my German speaking and listening skills as well as experience the German life. I also visited Austria and Switzerland during this two month period over our summer holidays.

This was a day of great acomplishment, proud parents, proud school and highly enthusiastic peers. A day to remember forever. Such a great feeling!

Primary Teaching and a Masters In Dance here I come!

This event is yet to become part of my history - it is still my furture, but it is getting so close and exciting it had to be included! This event will no doubt open my eyes to teaching and learning within a new country with unique challanges that will further my teaching abilities
