    Overall the software used to present this information, for example WIX has been invaluable. I have progressively improved and self-taught what various tools do simply by exploring the site and seeing which things work best.
  • SurveyMonkey - RESEARCH

    SurveyMonkey - RESEARCH
    Using survey monkey was a new experience from which I have gained many new skills. I was able to navigate around the website and include specific questions which would benefit me in terms of gaining qualitative, valuable research.
  • Dafont

    Dafont.com was used in order for me to get unique and aesthetically pleasing fonts for my magazine, including the one used for my main logo. This was extremely important when thinking about my magazine’s unique selling point, therefore having a different look title that was specific to my own title has definitely contributed to the quality that my magazine displays.

    My lack of knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, as illustrated in my preliminary task did limit me in the beginning. However with hours spent discovering the software thoroughly, I was able to pick up speed and use it effectively. I then applied my newly learnt skills to the photo editing aspect. This included editing the brightness, contrast, gradient and colouring and using the effects of layers to the fullest on my main cover image.     In terms of learning the technology for the photoshoot, the whole of my main shoot with the female model was a learning curve. As I had limited experience with a DSLR high quality camera, I was simply progressing in terms of using the whole frame of the lens, taking close ups or not for the double page spread. This included taking steady photos with a moving model which came out better than expected – though none were used in the final product.

    I had also never been familiar with the software of Prezi or Spictnodes therefore have since furthered my knowledge on both interactional presentation software. I found myself quick to learn the overall basics of both sites and work with the newly found knowledge that I had gained.
