    Birth
    I was born on April 23, 1997 in Manhattan, New York. I was born through Cesarean section and my mom was in labor for almost 24 hours! Ch. Sec. 3.3 textbook
  • First Words

    My first words were, "dada'' and "daddy." My parents told me this was because my dad would spend the majority of time with me and always tried to get me to say his name first. Ever since birth my mom believed you should show respect to the man and father figure of the house. She grew up this way culturally and morally, so she was very pleased when I said the word "daddy" over "mommy." (Section 3.2, 4.6 textbook)
  • First Steps

    First Steps
    My first steps were at 8 months old. My dad said I saw kids playing at the park and stood up took a a step or two and then fell. I didn't attempt to walk again until about 5 months later. I didn't start my real first steps until I was about 1 year and 3 months old. In 2016-2017, I attended school in California. I received an Associate's degree from West Coast Baptist College, and was able to experience all the different areas of beautiful California. (Section 4.3 textbook)
  • Toilet Trained

    I was toilet trained at an early age. Before preschool it was required to have your child toilet trained so by the age of 2 I was potty trained and ready for preschool. (Section 5.4 textbook)

    Preschool

    I attended a Russian Pre-School in Manhattan, where I learned social skills, and basic academic knowledge such as ABCs, language, and reading. I became fluent in Russian as well, though I am unable to speak it today. (In 2016-2017, I attended school in California. I received an Associate's degree from West Coast Baptist College, and was able to experience all the different areas of beautiful California. (Section 6.5 textbook)
  • First trip to Disneyland

    As a toddler I experienced my first trip to California Disneyland near my Aunt's home. This grew my emotional, physical, and sensory movements and mind! (Section 5.5 textbook)
  • Met one of my best friends

    I was fortunate enough to meet one of my best friends at church at age 5! She lives in Virginia now while I am in Hawaii, but its great we cans till share things with one another and have kept the friendship going for so long. (Section 7.8 textbook)

    Going to Friendship Christian Schools

    I attended Friendship Christian Schools in Ewa Beach from 1st to 10th grade. This is where a lot of my social, emotional, and physical growth took place. I made most of my best friends today at this school. It was approximately 11 years of my life thus far, so a very big portion! In 2016-2017, I attended school in California. I received an Associate's degree from West Coast Baptist College, and was able to experience all the different areas of beautiful California. (Section 6.5, 7.8 textbook)

    Moving to Hawaii

    In 2002, I moved to Hawaii at 5 years old. My dad was a 9/11 firefighter, and always wanted to move to Hawaii. I am currently living in this beautiful state, and could imagine growing up anywhere else! This expanded my emotional and social development. In 2016-2017, I attended school in California. I received an Associate's degree from West Coast Baptist College, and was able to experience all the different areas of beautiful California. (Section 6.9 textbook)

    Learning to Read

    I learned to read at the age of five. It was mandatory to be able to read before attending Friendship Christian School's first grade. My dad taught me from the Abecka book series how to read and it took me a few months in the summer of 2002 to get through my first book fully. In 2016-2017, I attended school in California. I received an Associate's degree from West Coast Baptist College, and was able to experience all the different areas of beautiful California. (Section 7.5 textbook)
  • First Broken bone

    Though middle childhood is suppose to be a peak of physical health, at 8 years old I got my first broken bone playing baseball. My best friend threw a baseball that I didn't catch and it broke my nose. I had to get multiple surgeries since that time to fix the damage. (Section 7.4 textbook)
  • Finding my Religion

    Finding my Religion
    At the age of 16, I left Friendship Christian Schools, but knew I wanted to still be in the Baptist/Christian faith after growing up in that school. I created a foundation of moral and religious beliefs before I headed to public school, and still believe those principles today. In 2016-2017, I attended school in California. I received an Associate's degree from West Coast Baptist College, and was able to experience all the different areas of beautiful California. (Section 8.6 textbook)

    My first job was in an Italian restaurant. I was able to take more responsibility, grow as an individual, and really become my own person. (Section 8.4 textbook)
  • Moving to Florida

    Moving to Florida
    In the fall of 2015, I moved to Florida for a few months to pursue nursing. Even though I was only there for about five months, I still keep in contact with the friends I made there. (Section 9.5 textbook)

    I believe I reached emerging adulthood when I graduated high school. That day I decided on a firm foundation of beliefs, goals, and morals that I still hold unto today such as: graduating college, being financial stable, getting married, having kids, and staying in church.     First Feeling of Depression

    My first instance of a depressed mood was in 2015 when I was away from home for the first time. I was 18 years old and very unhappy with where I was and how I was doing in school. Homesickness or not I called my parents everyday, and needed reassurance for months until I was finally able to go back home at the end of the semester. (Section 8.8 textbook)
