I moved from Vermont to Arizona just before starting 7th grade. This was a significant event because I left all the friends I had known as a child and all my relatives, except my mother and older brother. Arizona was very different from Vermont, and I had a difficult time adjusting.

In college, some friends and I decided to either go bungee jumping or skydiving. I voted for bungee jumping, since I don't like flying. I lost.

My friend and I went to Korea with the intention of teaching English for a year. Korea was unlike anything I had ever experienced and I learned a great deal about the culture, about how Americans are perceived abroad, and about myself. Things did not work out as planned, but we did get to travel to the Philippines and Thailand, which was an amazing experience.

Before having kids, I was an avid hiker. I had the opportunity to travel to Peru with a group of friends. We spent four days hiking the Inca Trail. The hike was beautiful and the experience was amazing.

My husband and I got married in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.

The birth of my son was by far the most life-changing event I have experienced.

This was one of the happiest, yet, by far, the hardest day of my life. My daughter suffered a medical emergency shortly after being born, and remained in intensive care for over two weeks.
