  • Jane visits Netherfield

    Jane has dinner with the Bingleys and stays the night because she falls ill. Elizabeth comes to stay with her.

  • Darcy becomes attracted

    Darcy begins to feel attracted to Elizabeth

  • Collins arrives at Longbourn

    Jane, Elizabeth, Lydia, Collins, Bingley, Darcy and Wickham meet at Meryton. Wickham tells lies about Mr Darcy

  • Mr Collins proposes

    Mr Collins proposes to Elizabeth, but is turned down. Collins becomes engaged to Charlotte instead.

  • Bingley leaves Netherfield

  • Jane goes to London

    Jane goes to stay with the Gardiners in London. Doesn't meet Bingley.

  • Elizabeth goes to Hunsford

    Elizabeth goes to visit Charlotte in Hunsford.

  • Darcy and Fitzwilliam visit

    Darcy and Fitzwilliam arrive in Hunsford. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth but is turned down. He gives her a letter explaining the accusations against him she heard from Wickham.

  • Elizabeth visits Derbyshire

    Elizabeth visits Derbyshire with the Gardiners

  • Lydia elopes with Wickham

  • Elizabeth visits Pemberley

    Elizabeth meets Darcy at Pemberley. Elizabeth informs Darcy of Lydia's elopement, and Darcy leaves for London.

  • Lydia and Wickham are married

    Darcy apparently attends the wedding

  • Bingley returns to Netherfield

  • Bingley proposes to Jane, they are engaged

  • Darcy proposes to Elizabeth, she accepts him

    Jane and Bingley marry, Elizabeth and Darcy marry
