Henry VIII marries Catherine of Aragon

Catherine of Aragon was the youngest surving child of Fernidad and Isabella. When she was three she was told to mary Arthur, son of Henry VII. On November 14,1501she married him, but less than six months later he died of "sweating disease". Catherine was then bethrothed the marry Henry VIII his younger brother but was too young to get married. After King Henry VII died, Henry VIII became King and married Catherine making her Queen.

King Henry wished to marry her, that he broke away from the Catholic church. Anne was tried for adultery, and guilty. She was beheaded. Elizabeth was their daughter.

Henry VII marries Katherine Parr

Katherine was born in 1512 by Sir Thomas Parr and Maud Green. She was named after Catherine of Argon, King Henry VIII's first wife. Thomas Parr died November 1517 and they were left in the care of Maud. Her first marriage was to Edward Borough when she was 17. Her mother then passed and she got married to John Neville. He soon died and she was now a widow two times at age 31. Katherine fell for Thomas Seymour but was asked by Henry VII for her hand in marriage, in which she said yes.

Before Mary took the throne she had a rival, her cousin Jane. When everyone had sympathy for Mary, she took the throne. When she became Queen she executed Jane Grey so she didn't have any threats. After this she began to execute many Protestants such as John Rodgers and Thomas Cranmer. Her actions gave her the nickname of "Bloody Mary". She later married Phillip II of Spain and became very unpopular with her followers. Mary died at age 42 from cancer.
